holding on for you
but i don't know how strong my grasp will be
sooner or later you'll have to make a choice
and until then all i can do is wait
now not everything is up to me

Sacrifice
People need to make sacrifices in order for things to work
Time is a sacrifice
Sacrifice your time for me
Please, I've been opted out on too many times already
Both people need to sacrifice something
Do that for me if you still care

People need medication to help deal with this stuff
weekend mission: accomplished (sorta)

Pollen & Salt
You've left me with such a silent world,
The evenings are calm, but I'm restless
And my breath has become as thin as the wind.
Not even the mighty sky could fill the space you left behind
Not even when it rains.
No, nothing takes your place
Your emptiness too great to fill.
I have been holding my breath,
For too many nights in a row,
And somewhere on coastlines unknown to me
You paint your dreams,
With reds and blues and greens.
Yea you're painting daffodils by the sea,
Without me.
Today in a breeze I sensed your perfume
But you were nowhere near.
And in reverie,
I felt you holding me.
And even in my dreams I shake from the fear
That you've been swept away
By the rhythm of the waves that whisper in your ears.
I would give away
My sweetest memories,
If I could just be with you again.
Be with you again.
Last night I dreamt you were with me,
Finally I could breathe.
I am learning to play this beauty of a song on the gee-tar. That's my mission for this weekend. Kenny Choi is my home boi!

Tracing
Do you ever get the feeling
that we started in the middle
or have you ever had the sense
that we've been lying just a little
I mean come on
it's not like we've known ourselves that long
and I can't say I really blame you
for being bored with the beginning
always staring at the score
to figure out who's barely winning
but don't you know
there is a reason strong moves slow
and I'm okay
if you're okay with
wasting time
but when you trace
you always see the bottom line
we are tracing
I hope you know
we are tracing
and if you want to know the moment
I knew that I was still alone
I found I'd never learned your number
I only stored it in my phone
you'd think by now
I'd know the shape of calling home
and I'm okay
if you're okay with
wasting time
but when you trace
you'll always see the bottom line
we are tracing
I hope you know
we are tracing
we're both alone
we are tracing
we are tracing
did you ever get the feeling

I have...
blisters on my throat!
I took a picture for a closer look.
The picture confirms it.
Wanna see the photo?!?
Didn't think so.
I want food and more antibiotics.

I've got a city love
Just got back from San Francisco this morning at about 4:30am. Rough 6 hour drive but it was a nice little getaway to kick off the last month of summer. Although 90% of the trip was dedicated to moving boxes full of stuff into my sister's new apartment. It felt accomplishing to see an empty room turn into an actual living space if you know what I mean. The first 2 of the 3 days spent in San Fran followed the same routine. Woke up, drove into the city to move stuff into Krystle's new apartment. Got something to eat. Unpacked stuff out of boxes. Built IKEA furniture. Got something to eat. Slept. The third day was a little different though. We were all done moving Krystle's stuff so my dad and I had a free (half) day to do whatever. We got something to eat at this cheap but mediocre dim sum place. Then we satisfied our hunger at a pizza place called Pizza Orgasmica. Good shiz. Then we walked into this little music store called Exploring Music across the street from the pizza place. It was owned by some asian guy who didn't seem to know much about anything he was selling. They were having a sale on guitars for the summer. An acoustic was sitting outside with a 79$ price tag on it. It looked nice, and played decently when I picked it up. Sure it's made by a brand that someone probably made up on the spot, but I'll take it for 80 bucks. So I did and it's my new little toy. Then my dad and I walked around Golden gate Park followed by a short walk through China Town. It was a fun trip. It feels weird to be back home though. I still find myself feeling a little too comfortable in the city atmosphere. Living in a place surrounded by tall buildings with taxi cabs passing through every intersection sounds great to me. Hopefully I can live in a big city a la Frisco or NYC. That would probably make me happy.
